Vesnice Cologny leží u Ženevy na kopci a je z ní krásný výhled na jezero, město a pohoří Jura. Je to rezidenční oblast a má 5 tisíc obyvatel nazývaných "Colognotes". Působí velice uklizeně.
Navštívili jsme dvě světoznámé instituce. Světové ekonomické fórum, nezávislou mezinárodní organizaci známou zejména prestižním fórem konaným v Davosu, a Nadaci Martina Bodmera s jednou z nejhodnotnějších světových soukromých sbírek knih a rukopisů obrovské historické hodnoty. Nové muzeum knih bylo otevřeno v r. 2003 (budova byla navržena známým švýcarským architektem Mariem Bottou). Vřele doporučuju.
Byli jsme se podívat i na místním obecním úřadě a odpoledne po prohlídkách jsme zabrousili na košt do vinného sklípku, který byl ten den otevřen pro veřejnost.
The Cologny village is located on a hillside which overlooks the lake Leman and benefits from a breathtaking view on the lake - the city and the Jura mountains. It is essentially a residential area and has 5000 inhabitants ("the Colognotes"). The whole area is very tidy.
We visited two world famous institutions. The World Economic Forum, an independent international organisation which is known for the prestigious Davos Forum, and the Martin Bodmer Foundation, a home to one of the most valuable private book and manuscript collections of prime historical importance in the world. The new book museum was built by famous Swiss architect Mario Botta and opened in 2003. I higly recommend the visit.

We visited the municipal office too and later in the afternoon we went to try some wine to a wine cellar, which was open for public that day.
